The software only works on Windows. It is definitely worth the money.A.so if you order this, don’t loose your cord because you will never get a new one! Excellent product. This microscope works great for the purpose I bought it for, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the scope and images for the low price I paid.Everything worked as planned.I used a calibrated grid to calibrate all of the lenses with the computer that I am using, which is a Windows 7 Professional driven Compaq. It has been a lot of fun checking out rotifers and moldy cheese so far! Bought in 2013 and still in use here in Dec of 2017.Everyone involved, including some renowned scientists are amazed at the quality of images I can capture and easily share by email or online albums, and the excellent price astonished everyone. Use it in my veterinary practice to show pet owners the cells from masses, stool bacteria and ear smears, download the digital pictures quick and easily and add to medical record and to show to client in the exam room on my iPad, great clarity, sturdy well built microscope with good optics Gave this to my son as a birthday gift.I could write a long review but i think its worth money spent. It also akes it easy for me to share cool pictures and concepts with my kids.We use it mainly in histology and pathology labs.Almost everything on the scope seems sturdy and assembled well. Most laptops don’t come with CD readers these days.I think that’s where the cost difference is between this microscope and others about 100$ cheaper.

I ordered this scope and 2 days later it was at my door. A high quality optical instrument delivered within days at a value price with a responsive and engaged merchant….Quality of the microscope was better than I expected for the price. Here is my 2cents.Assembly was a breeze, especially after watching the YouTube instructional video. And another time for which was one reason for the purchase.Could produce better images.Best buy before internet tax is passed… Say NO to INTERNET TAX!!! Overall it very good Excellent build quality, excellent optics, a simply superb compound binocular microscope! This scope is a absolute bargain for it’s money. Not worth the money.I suspect it’s related to Photobooth, but have not tried connecting to a Windows system.Great resolution, easy way to use *ALL* the objectives and, really liked the capability to capture images in the PC.The optical quality is quite good. It’s all that we expected.

I recommend to everyone who wants an microscope. The smaller it is the better! Due to health issues have not yet been able to get it out of the box.Very impressed and satisfied.Returned.Would buy from seller again.5 mmm.Try it, it looks like little glass cubes! And with the usb capabilities, i was able to look at, and record, a tiny bit of my own blood.I’ll write down the minor issues I’ve had:– The paint markings that mark the distances apart that the eyepieces can be are a bit blotchy– The grease inside hinge of the arm that keeps the slide in place got on the outside– There is no turpentine or other cleaning liquid to remove the oil from the liquid immersion lens! DO NOT USE THE OIL IMMERSION LENS WITHOUT CLEANING IT AFTERWARD!– In the software that came on the disk included with the microscope, my Windows 7 consumer edition computer gives me an error when I try to take videos of what is being seen in the microscope.I really like being able to display on the computer and capture images.Unless you are familiar with this type of scope, I do recommend preparing as you wait for it to arrive. Everything perfect! it met my expectations Everything as expected! Great product.LED light is very bright.<!– .
